Someone was asking me about braids. This is roughly what I do when I draw them (but more…. in 1 sketch layer, all in one step, because I’m too lazy to do the proper outline, but if you’re confused, or still figuring out how they works especially when twisted or in motion, then outline will help).
You can also try braid your hair or someone else’s hair to see how it actually works, the folding, and also the different styles.
This is really very basic and just to get you started. Braids aren’t scary! They’re so much fun to draw ok ok ok <3

<333333333 thank youuuuuuuu. this really helps!

W00T! I finally finished!

I’m planning on cosplaying Avengers!Loki sometime in the future (Don’t ask me when) and last night I was bored out of my brains at like 12:00am so I started this. I finished the sketch for the Jacket and Shirt at 1:00am then finished the rest today.

AND it took a good portion of the day to do (Mostly ref hunting, but I’m not complaining, I got to look at Tom Hiddleston for hours on end!) and occasionally I had to take a break for my poor sore wrist (And because I needed to pee).

Not 100% accurate (More around 85%-90%) but I couldn’t get a full ref for the shirt and some other parts (I didn’t add on the gold bead-trim that runs around most of the edges).

ANYWAYS, feel free to use this as a ref fellow artists/cosplayers, I don’t really mind. BUT, if you do end up using this design, please credit me for the ref (And send me a link to photos! I totally want to see other people’s costumes!)

Alas, farewell (Time to go watch THOR and be all gleeful over Loki…)

Loki/Design (c) to Marvel

Art (c) to some random Hiddlestoner called ME (And what an odd name it has)

THANK YOU. ;-; I WISH I SAW THIS BEFORE I MADE MINE. AUHAIUHAJ SO GOOD.
